Rodger Lizaola has been delighting audiences for years with his razor
sharp wit, powerful stage presence, and uncanny ability to say out loud
what you are thinking. Weaving his ability to ad-lib and improvise with
tales from his childhood, life, loves, and the pursuit of that almighty
dollar.
This comic tries to entertain and leave the audience
with a positive message. He breaks down barriers and takes no
prisoners, as his in your face style will have you rolling with
laughter, and begging for more.
Growing up on the mean streets
of Gilroy, Rodger always had the knack to make his friends and those
around him laugh but to get on “stage” was terrifying. Stage fright
aside, the opportunity didn’t present itself until February 2003 when he
moved to Seattle, Washington and performed at the World Famous Comedy
underground at their open mike night. Those first 3 mins were absolutely
terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. Although the first years
were hard and humbling, he stuck with it and has now become one of the
youngest headliners on the West Coast.
Rodger has opened up for such
acts as comedy legend David Brenner, Eddie Brill, Louis CK, Tom Cotter,
Kyle Cease, Doug Benson, Ty Barnett, and Alonzo Bodden. And such
Musical acts as The Black Eyed Peas, Pussycat Dolls, Baby Bash, Rhianna,
The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Good Charlotte, and The Backstreet Boys.
He has performed at some of the finest venues such as The Punch Line,
The Improv, Cobbs Comedy Club, Comedy Underground, The historic Johnny
Carson Theater in Norfolk NE, Paramount and Moore Theaters In Seattle
WA. As well as some dudes basement at a party (there was free beer)
He was the recent champion of the Renton comedy contest. Finalist in
the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and Seattle
International Comedy Competition. Also was a recent invitee and semi
finalist of the great American comedy festival, and the Las Vegas Comedy
Festival. As well as performing for the Seattle Mariners at their 2008
spring training. So don’t miss this rising star, you won’t be
disappointed.
